Annual Fall Appeal

Dear Untamed Spirit Family and Friends:

As we wrap up another successful year here at the farm, I want to tell you what your support in 2014 has meant to everyone here.

  • A little girl is attempting to speak…all because of riding a pony!
  • A young lady is riding independently and executing movements that will help her horse – she is learning to be a trainer and problem solver, not just a rider sitting on a horse!
  • Four excited riders demonstrated their months of hard work at the TRAV Show in Lexington this October, one little rider for the very first time! Everyone came home with many ribbons – all winners.
  • A young man with Autism, riding for the first time, has made remarkable progress and looks forward to his weekly visits.
  • We have added yet another PATH, International Certified Instructor to our lineup – congrats Linda! Two more young ladies are now in the Mentorship phase to become Instructors in 2015.
  • Untamed Spirit hosted the First Annual Integrative Wellness Expo with over 40 vendors representing areas such as Clinical Counseling, Art & Music Therapies, Farm produce, and Alternative Therapies. Dressage Rider, Sallie Stewart, was our Keynote Speaker from Washington State and presented on her life after a Traumatic Brain Injury.
  • Plans are underway for two new exciting programs in 2015 (driving and equine facilitated psychotherapy) that will enable us to expand our services to those needing additional therapies and adventures.
  • Our therapy horse, Groomed to Di For (aka Nightwatch) won The Jockey Club’s Thoroughbred of the Year award!
  • Untamed Spirit was showcased on The Hampton Roads Show promoting the 5K/Plane Pull.
  • Untamed Spirit has been chosen to host the 2015 TRAV Educational Day in February.

Won’t you help keep these dreams alive for our clients? We NEED your financial support to enable us to provide daily care for our therapy animals. Our expansion efforts in 2015 will need funding to grow and we want YOU to be a part of this! In addition to the listed opportunities on the enclosed card, won’t you consider becoming a facility sponsor? $1,000 annually will help underwrite farm costs so our programs and riders thrive. Donors of $1,000 or more will have a banner hung in their honor in the indoor arena for the year, showing everyone you support equine assisted activities.

In addition to our “daily operational needs,” Untamed Spirit is also seeking investors who would like to be UNTAMED LEADERS for new programs in 2015. Please contact me directly for more information on how you can be the catalyst for exciting change!

Thank you, as always, for the support you continue to give to Untamed Spirit!

Fall Appeal
